When there is a collision between birth and death, the invisibility of the event and the extent of its minimisation by family and friends are overwhelming.

Limbo exists in the Christian imagination of the beyond and should free parents from the haunting thought of their infant suffering eternal damnation.
Today, how do we recognise these children who have no apparent history ?
Véronique, Laurence and Nicole have, each in their own way, held out against the disappearance of limbo, this undefined, blurred region between dream and reality.

The film unfolds around fragments of words spoken by these three women who have been confronted with perinatal bereavement. They evoke the moment of trauma, the need to create concrete traces and the possibility of a life, after.
