Georges SADOUL (1904 Nancy 1967 Paris) is renowned as one of the most important cinema historians of the 20th Century. Appreciated by film-makers and film buffs the world over, his books have been translated into 35 languages.
In this documentary Paul Sadoul will bring us new and hitherto unknown insights into his brothers life, touching on the Surrealist epoch, Cartier-Bresson and the history of cinema. It will be filmed in the family home in Lorraine, where Georges Sadoul wrote a large part of his work and will be illustrated with numerous archive extracts.
The film is planned to coincide with the centenary of his birth in 2004.
