Michel Hausser proposes a history, his own history of jazz, a journey in time, punctuated with anecdotes, film archives and interviews. Different stages highlight his journey, each one proving to be a key turning point in his career as a vibraphonist, often as a result of new encounters leading to new collaborations. Michel Hausser returns to the "Chat qui pêche", the jazz club he founded, ran and played at on the Left Bank, Paris, in the fifties. He relives the emotions and experiences of youth and tells of his encounters with Milt Jackson and Stéphane Grappelli, among many others.
