The film, which is lightheated and humorous, uses marionettes
to tell the story of the great Renaissance genius' life,
his art and prophetic invntions. While historically accurate,
it is both educational and entertaining, appealing to
'youngsters' of all ages.
This form of puppet drama in which the actor manipulators
are in near total black-out, lends itself perfectly to
the screen as does the mobility and expressiveness of
the puppets themselves. Exceptional family entertainment.
